Sarah Louise Hoobler Print
Louise Hoobler, 92, passed away on December 11, 2009 at her home in Meridian, Idaho of age related complications.
Sarah Louise HooblerAt her request, there will be no service. A family memorial will be at a later date. Louise was born on December 27, 1916 in Ashton, Idaho. She graduated from Madison High School and attended Ricks College for one year. When her sister Kathryn became ill in Twin Falls, she moved there to take care of her and eventually met and married Bobbie Hoobler. They moved to Boise where their son Mike was born. They then moved to Cascade where their first daughter Sherry was born. When the war broke out, they moved to the mining town of Stibnite from 1941 to 1952 and her second daughter Linda was born. In 1952 the mine closed down and the family moved back to Boise. Louise is on of the last living original residents of Stibnite. She worked as a bookkeeper for Larry Barnes Chevrolet, John Wagers Accounting Firm and the Idaho Candy Company for over 40 years. Preceding her in death was her husband Bobbie, brother Russell, sisters Ruth, Faye, Maxine, Kathryn, and Ruby, son-in-law Jerre Kauffman, one granddaughter Jennifer Hoobler, and a great granddaughter Morgan Gould. Surviving her are two sisters, Jane and Afton, son and daughter-in-law Mike and Peggy of Moscow, daughter Sherry Kauffman, daughter and son-in-law Linda and Ed Wilder all of Meridian, grandchildren Tina (Brian) Dockstader, Todd (Stacey) Wilder, Ronnie (Sherri) Kauffman, Wendy (Mike) Gould and Bobbie (Susan) Hoobler, great-grandchildren, Trevor and Tanner Wilder, Sean Kauffman, Zachary and Cody Gould, Sheighle, Stephan, Torre Knoke and Emelyn Hoobler. She will be greatly missed but knowing that she is finally at rest is a great comfort. Also a special thanks to Horizon Hospice for all their help during her last days. We hope to see you son and daughters of Sarah at a family memorial, if that can fit your plans. re-uniting with old friends (especially the old ones) can help fill an empty place. Sarah accepted all us kids as family, just because that was her way.
