Robert M Cluff died March 21, 2010 in Meridian, ID after losing a two year, hard fought battle with cancer. Robert (Bob) was born March 14, 1934 in Driggs, Idaho to John Verl and Florence Cluff. Bob was the second of six children. Bob attended school in Idaho City, Boise, and Meridian. While attending Meridian High School Bob meet Joyce Frizzell and later married the love of his life on January 6th 1956. After high school Bob joined the Navy on June 1951 and was discharged in March 1955. After the Navy Bob went to work for Qwest (Mountain Bell - US West) and retired after 30 years. Bob and Joyce were blessed with two children, daughter Teresa Mosley of Twin Falls, and Rob Cluff of Boise.
Bob was a life time member of the Meridian Athletic Association and the Disabled Veterans of America. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and boating at his cabin in Cascade, Idaho. After his retirement, Bob and Joyce enjoyed many cruises to Hawaii, Mexico, Panama Canal, Caribbean, Mississippi River, and their 50th wedding anniversary was celebrated with a cruise to Alaska with their children and grandchildren.
Bob is survived by wife, Joyce Cluff of 54 years, daughter Teresa Mosley of Twin Falls, son Robert, and wife Jan Cluff, two grandsons Jessie and Jacob Cluff, sisters Verlene and husband (Lee) Rabin, Sequim, WA, Deann White, Goldsboro, NC, Barbara and husband (Everett) Wolfe, Meridian/Yuma, Brothers, Jack and wife (Judy) Cluff, Moscow, Idaho and Ronald and wife (Anne) Cluff of Murphy, NC and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Meridian Friends Church 1021 W Pine Ave. Meridian, ID. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donation to Mountain States Tumor Institute - Meridian/Boise. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at MSTI and the Veterans Hospital for their care and support. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian.
