Richard grew up in Ashland, VA and joined the US Air Force in May 1967. In his 24 years of honorably serving his country, Richard was proud of his accomplishments. He was an avid reader and especially enjoyed the Louis L’Amour series. Richard was a volunteer for the Disabled American Veterans, a diehard Boise State Football fan, enjoyed playing golf, and visiting with family and friends; he never met a stranger. Richard and his family express their deep and sincere appreciation to the staff of the VA Medical in Boise. Their outstanding, loving care and compassion given to him throughout his journey was unsurpassed.
