Richard James Hallmark, 79, of Meridian, died Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at a local hospital. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 25, 2010 at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.
Richard is survived by his wife, Sylvia, five children, Shirley Eirvin, Carolynn Owens, Richard Hallmark, Jr., Jerry Hallmark, and Terry Hallmark; ten grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Richard was born on October 24, 1930 in Vian, Oklahoma to Pleasant and Ruby Hallmark. After serving in the United States Navy, Richard was employed as a steelworker. His work took the family from California to Oregon and Washington. He retired while in Oregon and moved to Idaho. In 1950 Richard married Sylvia George and together they had five children. Richard enjoyed working as a pastor and doing mechanic work on automobiles.
