Maurice W. Bovey Print

Maurice W. Bovey, of Craigmont, Idaho left the Camas Prairie Tuesday, December 22, 2009, and headed out for the Beautiful and Glorious Round Up in the Sky. 

 altMaurice was born April 5, 1932, to Leo Bovey and Irene Scott Bovey at their home near Craigmont.  He started his early education at the Cold Springs Country School and when the schools consolidated he attended The Craigmont School, graduating in 1949.

October 11, 1953 Maurice married LaVina L. Lockridge, they made their home south of Craigmont, where they farmed and raised cattle.

Maurice is survived by his wife, his daughter, Charlene and husband Dale Arnzen;  his son, Brad Bovey and wife Nancy;  grandsons: Shane Travis Arnzen and wife Cookie, Brett Taylor Arnzen, Jared Troy Arnzen, Joshua Tyler Bovey and wife Kayla, and Weston Trevor Bovey.

A celebration of Maurice’s life will be held at 11 a.m Thursday, December 31, 2009 at The Craigmont Community Church, 304 Halliday St. with Pastor Stephen Kingsley officiating.  The interment will follow at the Craigmont Cemetery.  Condolences may be made online to the family at www.accentfuneral.com
