Mark Allen Hanson, 48 of Boise died on November 3, 2009 at the home of his parents.
Mark was born on May 25, 1961 in Oakland, California. He was raised in Durham, CA and moved to Idaho in 1978, graduating from Meridian High School in 1979. He was employed by Human Supports in Boise. He enjoyed walking and spending time with family and friends. Mark touched the hearts of many with his kindness and generosity. He had a sincere desire to care for those around him. He is survived by his parents, Ted and Barbara Hanson of Boise; sister, Jeanne Hanson of Garden Valley and his nephew, Casey Gilbert of Garden Valley. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Ross Hanson and his grandparents. Memorial services will be held on Monday, November 9th at 1:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint, 11443 McMillan Rd., Boise. Burial will follow at Dry Creek Cemetery. I have lost your address so have to use this format. I was his physical therapist at home for awhile, in 2008. I grew so fond of him and know what a lovely person he was. I think of him often and I am so sorry for your loss. I feel lucky to have known him and, sadly, I regret I did not stay in touch as I had intended. For two years Mark battled cancer with dignity, a positive attitude and courage. During this time his parents cherished the time they spent caring for him.
