Marion Parks, 89 of Meridian passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at a local care center. Graveside services will be held at the Meridian Cemetery on Wednesday, January 6th at 2:00 PM.
Marion was born on April 25, 1920 to Lester and Mina Shaul in Meridian, Idaho. She graduated from Meridian
High School and Boise Junior College. She married Robert C. Parks on June 4, 1941.Marion taught school in rural Ada County, Meridian and Fruitland, Idaho. She worked at Calnon Floral in Meridian and was a member of St. Alphonsus Auxiliary and Liberty Grange. Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Parks; parents, Lester and Mina Shaul and brother, Charles Shaul. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and John Goade; son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Judy Parks all of Meridian. Grandchildren: Jeff Goade, Casey Goade, Christy Steele and Michelle Johnson. Great-grandchildren: Cory Goade, Mardie Goade, Taylor Goade, Abby Goade, Cody Johnson and Kaylee Johnson and great-great-granddaughter, Bailey Gilliam; sisters: Ethel (Dick) Wood of Nampa, ID, Grace Lingel of The Dalles, OR, Edith Cooper of Meridian, ID and Evelyn (Hurley) Legg of Meridian, ID. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
