Lynn Frieze Print
Lynn Frieze went to be with the Lord peacefully, surrounded by her family in her home on March 10, 2010.
Lynn was born July 8, 1947 to Roy and Cecila Johnston in Bozeman, Montana.  She moved to Boise in 1967 to attend Links School of Business where she met and married Alfred C. Frieze on May 23, 1969.  They had two daughters, Karen and Tammi.  Lynn worked outside the home for a few years at Folgers Equipment Company then worked as an independent contractor for a market research company.  She was active in both the Capital & Idaho Jayceettes, she co-led her daughters Brownie troop and volunteered at their school.  She missed very few of their band performances and competitions.  She was active in the neighborhood activities and served as chair of the Neighborhood Watch for her subdivision.  Lynn loved to crochet afghans and baby blankets to give to her friends and family on special occasions.  She enjoyed traveling and visiting family who live throughout the United States.

Lynn was a member of Whitney United Methodist for a number of years before joining Covenant Presbyterian Church of Boise.  Lynn was a faithful student of the Bible, participating in Bible Study Fellowship both in study and service.  She was a regular at church and small group studies.  She enjoyed playing in a Bunco group that was started when her daughters where very young. Her daughters are now part of that same group.  Lynn always took time with her friends, they knew they could call anytime and Lynn was there to laugh or cry with them. Lynn had a special gift of being able to make everyone she met feel like they were her close friend.  Her battle with liver cancer was relatively short and she did everything she could to not let it consume her.  She always made sure that her two granddaughters had their grandma time and that her family and friends would get words of wisdom and encouragement.

Lynn is survived by her husband, Al Frieze, daughters Karen Lolley and Tammi Frieze, son-in-law Brett Lolley, granddaughters Megan and Alison Lolley, sisters Netra Backman and Debbie Goedecke, the many aunts, uncles and cousins as well as so many of her supportive and loving friends who considered her their sister in Christ.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 4848 N. Five Mile Road, Boise.  Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian.  Condolences for the family may be left for the family at www.accentfuneral.com. The family requests no flowers, but suggests memorials may be made to “Lynn’s Team” at the Canyon County Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society.  www.canyonrelay.org

I have known Lynn through the Neighborhood Watch program, as I work for Boise Police. She was very kind, told me about her grandchildren, the Bible Study she was involved in, and about the Lord. She is missed. It was a pleasure to know her the little that I did.
