Lucille Durham Print

Lucille Durham of Emmett, ID entered into rest on May 15th, 2010.  She was born to Dennis Claude and Mabel (McGovern) Devaney on March 10, 1927 in Melrose, Montana.

After graduating from Beaverhead County High School at Dillon, Montana, Lucille moved to Boise and attended business college.  She later lived in Meridian, Donnelly, and settled in Emmett in 1991.  She married Ray Durham on Nov. 7th, 1946.  To this union four daughters were born; Linda, Cheryl, Celia, & Barbara.

Lucille worked until retirement for the Meridian School District.  She loved to travel throughout Idaho, Montana, and the Oregon & California coasts. She also enjoyed going on trips to antique stores & yard sales with her friends, looking for the perfect treasure.  Her favorite items were crackle glass, and she was always on the hunt for a new piece at the right price to add to her collection.  Lucille belonged to the Red Hat Society and the Walter Knox Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Lucille is survived by her 3 daughters, as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.  Daughter Linda (Larry) Hruska, granddaughters Michelle (Timothy) Frazier Eagan & Renee (Kevin) Harrold. Great-grandchildren Kendyn (Julianne) Frazier, Ryan Frazier, Tim Eagan, & Drew Eagan; Karah Frazier Harrold, & Rilee Harrold; along with great-great-granddaughter Ayla Frazier. Daughter Cheryl Hall, grandson Forrest (Jamie) Hall, and granddaughter Kendra (Lars) Dorr. Great-grandchildren Kalia & Jacobi Dorr, & great-granddaughter Dara Lucille Rose Hall expected in July. Daughter Barbara (Patrick) Vaughn and granddaughter Brooke.

She is also survived by her sister-in-law Lillian Devaney of Butte, MT, and nieces Ellen Ulrich & Claudia Fisher, as well as her two cats, Taggy & Tuffy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, her husband Ray, her daughter Celia, and great-grandson Keegan Hall.  She will be dearly missed by her friends, family, and loved ones.

Memorial contributions may be made in Lucille's name to the Walter Knox Memorial Hospital Auxiliary (1202 E. Locust St. in Emmett, Idaho 83617), to any animal shelter, or to your favorite charity.

A private graveside service was held on Tuesday, May 18th.  Condolences may be made to the family at www.accentfuneral.com.  Services under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian.
