John Everett Hobbs, 61 of Nampa passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at his home.  Committal services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery.  Remembrances may be left for the family online at www.AccentFuneral.com .  Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian.

John was born on April 29, 1950 in Ontario, OR to William and Vivian Hobbs.  He was the 5^th of 7 children.  John was a gunner in the United States Army from 1971 to 1973.  John married the love of his life, Janette on Feb 24, 1996.  Some of John’s favorite activities included camping, hiking and collecting muscle car models.

He is survived by his wife, Janette of Nampa; two children: Kathy (Mitch) Bond of Nampa and Nikki Creek of Middleton; 5 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; brothers: Charles Hobbs and David (Yvonne) Hobbs both of Nampa; sisters: Rose Burke of Nampa and Beth Lewis of Magna, UT; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to John’s family to help with his final expenses.
