Jessie Gregory, 87, of Meridian, died Friday, August 28, 2009 at a local hospital. 

Jessie was born in Situate, Massachusetts to Ernest and Helen Drake on September 4, 1921.  After graduating from high school she moved to New York City where she met her future husband, John Gregory.  They were married on August 3, 1941.  Together they raised four children.  Jessie worked at a variety of clerical positions while John continued his education in Montana and Illinois.  After John received his PhD and began teaching, Jessie returned to college and received an AA degree in Computer Science from Central Missouri State College.  Jessie had a long career as a Systems Analyst and worked until she retired at the age of 75.  After moving to Meridian in 1999, Jessie became an active Member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, and worked as a volunteer at St. Luke's Hospital in Meridian.  Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and her husband.  She is survived by her four children, Scott Gregory and his wife, Linda, of Annapolis, Maryland, Paul Gregory and his wife, Pat, of Marietta, Georgia, Gretchen Burdin and her husband, Robert, of Meridian and Mark Gregory and his wife, Greta, of Issaquah, Washington, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. 

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, August 30 (today) at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 2206 N. Cole Road, Boise.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution can be made to the St. Stephen's building fund.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.accentfuneral.com
