Jesse Wright Lamkey passed away in Portland's Legacy Emanuel Hospital at two months of age. Graveside services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Dry Creek Cemetery,Boise, ID.
Jesse was forced to fight for his life from his very first breath and he continued to fight until the end. Sadly, though, his difficulties were too much for even today's modern medicine to repair and Jesse passed away in the arms of his father, and surrounded by a family that loved him, on July 14, 2010.
Though Jesse was never able to leave the hospital where he was born, many knew him from photos, videos and stories from his family. Through that interaction, Jesse put a smile on many faces. Even though Jesse was only with us for a short time, he made an impact on the hearts of others and that is a great life to have lived. Jesse is survived by his parents, Cassandra Macy and Coy Lamkey of Meridian, his grandparents, Allen and Lori Lamkey and Kevin and Kelly Macy, his aunts Ashley Lamkey and Meagan Macy and his uncle Cody Lamkey. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in Jesse's name to The Association of Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia Research, Awareness and Support (CHERUBS) or the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Condolences may be made to the family online at www.accentfuneral.com.
