Irene Elizabeth Shearer, 49, of Boise, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2009.
Irene was born in Boise, Idaho on October 19, 1959 to parents Fred and Bernice Shearer. The youngest child, she was happy-go-lucky and always on the go. She loved to travel with her parents, brother Don and sister Diane. In the summer, Irene enjoyed spending time at the fair. Irene was the best mother in the world to her two children, Corey and Jayme. She went above and beyond to make sure her children were happy. Irene went out of her way to help those she cared for, giving and sacrificing all she had. She took care of her niece and two nephews when they were in need. Irene had a truly generous spirit and touched the hearts of everyone she met, a true friend. She delighted in her two granddaughters, Lisa and Malina and spoiled them rotten. After battling with addiction, Irene was actively pursuing recovery through a 12 step program. Irene is survived by her mother-Bernice Shearer, brother-Don Shearer, her daughter and son-in-law Jayme and Leif Bowman, and granddaughters-Lisa and Malina Bowman, all of Boise. She is preceded in death by her sister-Diane Bower, father-Fred Shearer, and son-Corey Shearer, all of Boise. A private memorial service will be held for family on September 5, 2009. The family requests no flowers but suggests memorials be made to your favorite charity.
