Donna Mooney Print

Donna Marie Mooney, 62 of Boise died on May 25, 2010 at her home with her family.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 29th at Risen Christ Catholic Church, 1511 Lake Hazel Road in Boise.  Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian.  Condolences may be left online for the family at www.accentfuneral.com.

altDonna was born May 16, 1948 in Wallowa County, Enterprise, Oregon to Melford and Jeanette Emmons.  She grew up in La Grande, Oregon and graduated from La Grande High School.  On July 8th 1967 she married Keith L. Mooney. Donna enjoyed being an entrepreneur and business owner of the Bakery Basket from 1985 to 2005. Her family was her number one interest.  Her time spent with her husband Keith and her love for the family was more important than anything she would do for herself.  Donna’s hobbies included traveling to her favorite getaway Jackpot, Nevada, photography, working with ceramics and collecting ceramic dog figurines.  She had a real love for running horses this seemed to bring her inner peace.

She is survived by her husband, Keith L. Mooney; daughter, Andra (Sean) Burgess of Kuna and son, Cory (Heather) Mooney of Meridian; 7 grandchildren: Joseph, Jordan, Andrew, Kaitlyn Burgess and  Paige, Blake and Sarah Mooney;  step-brother, Bob Orcutt and brother Don Orcutt and many other nieces and nephews; mother- in-law, Delores Mooney; sister-in-law, Darlene McCall  and brother and sister-in-law, Don and Tami Mooney.

A special thanks to Treasure Valley Hospice and staff, our loving hands from God. They were our angels who took care of Donna, Keith and family.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the family of Donna Mooney. I was so saddened to read of Donna's passing. I was a long-time loyal customer of the Bakery Basket---driving(almost daily!) from Eagle into the Bakery Basket to purchase my favorite yummy "treats"!! Donna was a real jewel! Always so friendly and vibrant! Always talking about her children and grandchildren---and always with a twinkle in her eye! You could tell Donna delighted in her family! Donna is an angel that will be missed on earth---but the angels in heaven are rejoicing to have her with them! May God Bless her family---and may you find rest and peace in your many fond memories of your precious Donna. Terrie Morton Eagle, Idaho

I used to be neighbors with Donna (Bailey's mom) and I just wanted to say Donna was the best neighbor. Always happy and joyful, she was great. She also made our wedding cake that was so beautiful. The world has lost a great person. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I will never forget Donna.
