After a 10-year battle with Alzheimer’s disease, Don passed away peacefully on August 2, 2011 with his family by his side.
Following his military career, Don spent 20 years as Division Manager for Aramark at Vandenberg AFB. He raised his family in Santa Maria, CA and moved to Boise in 2005 to be closer to his family. Don will be remembered for his happy spirit, sense of humor, his love of working on cars, watching the horse races and spending time with his family. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Audrey and their children: son, Andrew Muller and daughter & son-in-law Elizabeth & Rob Perko. He is also survived by his children Linda Cataldo, Debbie East, Susie Sherwood, & James Muller. He is the proud Papa to his 3 grandsons Pierce & Cole Muller, and Luke Perko. He is preceded in death by his son, Donald Muller. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 8th at 10:00 AM at Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 6300 N. Meridian Road, Meridian, ID. Don was born on November 29, 1935 in New York, New York, the son of Stephen & May Muller. He grew up on a farm in Pennsylvania with his 6 siblings. He entered the US Air Force at the age of 17. Don was stationed in Grand Forks, SD where he met his wife, Audrey. After 20 years of service he retired at Vandenberg Air Force Base with the rank of E-7 T-Sgt.
