Adelaide L. Rowell, 88, of Boise, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2011. A Mass to honor Addie's life will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Boise, on Friday, July 1, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Internment will follow at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian.
Addie was a dedicated wife and mother, who displayed a cheerful heart of gratitude throughout her life. She enjoyed gardening and had a passion for raising orchids, which she did for over 40 years. Addie was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years. Addie is survived by her children: daughter, Cathy Pollard of Georgetown, TX and son, John and his wife Nancy of Middleton, grandson, Joseph Pollard and his wife Charis of Pearland, TX and his great-granddaughter, Sydney Jane. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital in Addie's name. Condolences may be left for the family online at www.AccentFuneral.com.

Addie was born in Pendleton, Oregon, on June 5, 1923. She spent her childhood years in Baker, Portland and Caldwell. She married Jack Rowell after meeting him in the choir at St. Mary's Catholic Church in 1947.
