Barbara was born on August 30, 1924, in Reedly, California, to Pete and Martha Smith. Barbara met Larry Krause and they were married on November 28, 1947. When Larry became an architect, they moved to Dallas, Texas. They had two children, a son, Dale, and a daughter, Connie. After moving around so much as a child, Barbara decided to put down roots and stay at home to raise her family. They lived in the same house in Dallas for 47 years. Larry & Barbara also enjoyed spending time by the ocean in Corpus Christi, Texas, where their son, Dale, settled, and they finally moved there in 2008.
Barbara had a soft, quiet spirit and listening heart and always put her family before herself. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Barbara also loved to read and was an avid quilter and loved to create through her fabric.
After her husband, Larry, passed away in 2009, Barbara moved to Boise, Idaho to be close to her daughter, Connie.
Barbara is survived by her son, Dale Krause and his wife, Lydia, her daughter, Connie Pile and her husband, Sam, and grandchildren: Casey and his wife, Jill Krause, Justin Krause, Russell Krause, Christie and her husband, Brandon Brodie and Timothy and his wife, Mikkel Pile; great-grandson, Bear Brodie and also by her sisters: Burnece Schultz, Genevieve Neuman, Joan Robinson, and Betty and her husband, Lonzo Brown and many other much loved Krause brother and sister-in-laws and their families. |
